The latest single from Duck Sauce (a.k.a. A-Trak and Armand Van Helden), “Big Bad Wolf,” was released this week. North and South American fans can purchase the track on Beatport and iTunes, with all other international versions slated for release by the end of the month. Keep your eyes out for the video, which should be out in the next few days.

A-Trak’s given us all something to “go dance in front of the mirror” for. He says the mirror, I say on your roof top while the September sun sets over New York City. Anyways, this mix is loaded with goodies such as a new Duck Sauce track The Big Bad Wolf and 1984′s Arabesque put out by Discobelle. Give this one a listen and let us know what you think.

This week, Duck Sauce (A-Trak x Armand Van Helden) released the music video for “Barbra Streisand”, their highly anticipated second single that has been heating up dance floors all summer. Director So Me (Ed Banger Records) does a great job of organically capturing New York City’s essence and joie de vivre, with cameo after cameo by pretty much everyone… we’d list them, but we think it’s more fun for you to find them yourselves.

Meet Fool’s Gold’s latest signee, Telephoned, the brainchild of Maggie Horn and Fool’s Gold DJ/producer Sammy Bananas.  The 18-track “Off The Hook” Mixtape features a new spin on many songs that we already know and (in some cases) love.

The project’s tracks are neither remixes nor covers, rather a hybrid of both. Sammy Bananas expertly morphs the original beats into infectious tunes fit for the dance floor. Paired with Maggie Horn’s vocal stylings, each song on the mixtape brings a fresh take on the original track. The reggae-tinged “Dancin’ On Me” (Featuring Jahdan Blakkamoore) samples Enur’s Calabria and has a hint of dubstep, while “Million Dollar Bill” (originally by Whitney Houston) samples Major Lazer’s “Keep it Goin Louder”. The mixtape also features reimagined versions of “aNYway” by Duck Sauce, “Turn My Swag On” by Soulja Boy (featuring Telli Gramz from Ninjasonik), and “Empire State of Mind” by Jay-Z and Alicia Keys.

After months of anticipation (not to mention mysterious tweets), we are finally in on the secret: “Duck Sauce” is the new collaborative effort between DJs A-Trak and Armand Van Helden. Their first single, “aNYway”, has already been making its way through the club circuit at recent Fool’s Gold events, but with the advance release of “aNYway” and “You’re Nasty” on Beatport, we are finally privy to the phenomenon that is “Duck Sauce”.
