MeanRed is gathering your favorite Brooklyn DJs to shake your inebriated bodies into the New Year. AND- you will be in Brooklyn, which means far far away from the horrific chaos of Times Square. Nick Cathdubs, Jubilee, Kaviar Disco Club, and Blue Jemz will be bringing the beats until the wee hours of morning. There will be a champagne toast and an open bar between 9-10 PM! The event is being held at Lorelely, Brooklyn’s best beer garden-turned-club! This event is only $20! So cheap for such great music and an open bar? How could you possibly resist?

Before summer comes to a close and we begrudgingly ease ourselves back to reality, Fool’s Gold Records is bringing back their Labor Day extravaganza for one last hurrah.

Now in its second year, Fool’s Gold Day Off has all the elements of a perfect summer day – a barbeque, drinks, and a killer soundtrack courtesy of Juicy J, Danny Brown, Just Blaze, the Brothers Macklovitch (A-Trak & Dave1), Araabmuzik, Cubic Zirconia, Party Supplies and Nick Catchdubs.

What more could you ask for? An afterparty? No problem. The party will continue with the Fool’s Gold Night Off at Westway with music by the Brothers Macklovitch and Just Blaze.

This Friday February 25, Flashing Lights returns to Public Assembly with another edition of their infamous party! This time around, Douster joins the usual crew DJ Ayres, Nick Catchdubs, and Jubilee, for a night that’s sure to be filled with awesome beats and good times, not to mention more than enough rave juice.

Youthful French producer and ZZK Records compatriot Douster has been making a splash with his clubby European take on the various tropical rhythms (and riddims) emerging from around the globe. Whether it be dancehall or kuduro, cumbia or UK funky, Douster can be counted on to deliver an uptempo, chopped-and-sliced dancefloor filler.

Flashing Lights returned to Public Assembly on Friday night, with stellar sets by special guests Starks & Nacey (of DC’s Nouveau Riche) and residents Nick Catchdubs, DJ Ayres and Jubilee. Natalie Storm performed some solo material, and was even joined by Jubilee and Maggie Horn for a sexy dance break. Throughout the night curious characters from the muppet-themed party stopped by for a peek (hence the costumes).

On Monday, Fool’s Gold Records teamed up with the good folks at Jelly to celebrate the end of summer with their “Day Off” Labor Day party. Held in the City Winery backyard, the afternoon featured DJ sets by Nick Catchdubs, Klever, Kill the Noise, Craze, Just Blaze and The Brothers Macklovitch, with live performances by The Suzan, Pill, Donnis and Yelawolf.
