Misstress Barbara brings her hard style house and techno to Sullivan Room this Saturday. Originally born in Sicily, Barbara moved to Montreal when she was eight, and has lived there ever since. Her techno style draws its roots from classic rock and punk while allowing influences from jazz and latin music to creep through. Her first artist album, I’m No Human, features contributions from Sam Roberts, Brazilian Girls and Bjorn Yttling of Peter Bjorn and John, and marks the debut of her lush intoxicating vocals.
